Sometime around the age of 30 most people start to experience a decline in growth hormone production which can decrease by as much as 1% to 2% per year, so by your mid-fifties, your body is likely producing half as much growth hormone as when you were 20. This makes getting the desired benefits of exercise far more difficult. While it may sound counter intuitive, as you get older you need a workout program which incorporates short-duration high-intensity exercise that stimulates the natural production of highly beneficial growth hormone.
